Title: AZBOX Premium HD Satellites/Channels updates?
Post by: zl2rob on April 11, 2015, 01:42 AM
Hi..
I am in the throes of upgrading my AZBOX Premium HD + and, in particular, the Satellite channels files,
Given that AZBOXES, like most satellite TV STB receivers, all run a variant of the Linux OS as the operating system (as does most of the internet, your Android cellphone, my internet connected 'fridge and many hundreds of other OS devices), where does the AZBOX store the actual satellite channels files on the Linux directory tree within the software's STB files? We just want to update to the latest satellites and their channels files.

In other words, whereabouts on the AZBOX Linux directory tree, where or in what directory, do we put the upgrade file/s for the satellites and the TV channels?

My current AZBOX OS is a version of about 9.5312 or thereabouts. I have tried to find the Satellite/channels files by searching up and down the directory tree via AZUP, MAZ, and DCC and other file access tools. what is the usual name of the files and is it stored as a .XML or a .INI file? I suspect it will usually be a .XML file?

Kind regards, Robert.
Kia ora (a New Zealand Maori hello greeting) from me.
