that's awesome will your internet still be as fast as cable modems as lots of people say satellite internet doesn't give you like 20 or 50 megabit download speed but it still work off of c-band transponder can use a 6-foot dish and if you stream on that will you still get master feeds that is awesome though congratulations on working on the internet

Our new internet service uses the k band frequencies for tx and rx. It utilizes a small fixed 30 inch dish. It's independent of your c band system. The technology is state of the art and can offer speeds that satellite could not produce in the past. More information including plans and prices will be listed at: http://www.rainieronline.com/ prior to launch.

I'm not an engineer so I can't explain the inner workings of the system. From what I understand, the frequency's used are in the k band range. Rx = receive, Tx = transmit.

It's great how Rainier listens to us, goes after it, then makes it happen. It's really nice to have the option to get rid of the big boys who've forgotten about the needs of the small guy. Count me in for signing up for your internet service. I'm sick of getting off shore support that don't solve my problems with my current provider. Rainier's support with their TV service has been top notch. Being based in the U.S. you get a person who you can understand that really cares about your problem and gets it resolved. What a breath of fresh air.

Your post is garbled, correct me if I'm wrong. Your asking about streaming TV services with Rainier's internet. To answer that question, Yes you can stream with our internet including any future streaming offerings from Rainier.

Master feeds only are available with our C band subscription service platform. Internet feeds of any type are compressed. With the push towards wireless device streaming, bandwidth restrictions are a problem. They must be compressed, quality suffers. If you looking for the best picture quality especially with a large screen TV, C band is the only way to go. If you haven't purchased a c band system from us yet your missing out. No other media delivery can compete with c band. You can get started here: http://www.shop.rainiersatellite.net/webstore/storehome.htm

Are you going to partner up with mobi TV since you have internet now I'm still scared the FCC is going to take the c band spectrum away mobi is a iptv  streaming service
Title: Re: Rainier Satellite to bundle Internet with TV

We have no plans with mobi. Not concerned about the FCC, the uses of c band in the broadcast industry are immense. Any changes would need to be studied and tested for interference issues before implementation.  Don't know how old you are but MA Bell and earth stations shared spectrum many years ago, it worked out pretty good for both. Those who proliferate the sky is falling (like at those small dish forums) know nothing about the facts.

Till the 1990's the telephone company used c band for point to point terrestrial microwave links. These signals were offset from satellite downlink frequencies. If you encountered a strong terrestrial signal in the path of the satellite you were tuning it could cause the AGC in your receiver to lock to that signal. Those with issues used TI filters and screening methods to resolve the problem.  A proper site survey checking for TI and a good link budget was very important for minimizing any issues ahead of time. The same methods could be used today if a problem arose. A professional technician with the proper equipment and training is your best line of defense to avoiding any signal related issues.

High quality dishes, feeds, lnb's, cable, etc (that Rainier sells) are critical for proper operation, especially in a TI ridden environment. Cheap offshore products sold over at those FTA places will be wiped out by any TI that will be forthcoming. It don't pay to go cheap. Do it once, do it right is the only smart way to go.

Someone told me the world is flat so it must be true. Does this someone build a time machine, went into the future, analyzed the RF spectrum and has proof of how signals interact with one another? Thats what the FCC is for. Do you understand if what your saying is true your Comcast, Dish, Direct, Charter, ect ect will no longer be able to deliver many channels to you. If you have an OTA antenna your NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, ect, will no longer be able to deliver Network programming to you. This is not some 3rd world country where station A fires up a 50kw transmitter and station B fires up a 100kw transmitter on the same frequency and battle it out. If something is done its done in a controlled manner that works for all involved. I would suggest you tell this someone he don't know what the hell he's talking about and needs to go back to school. Tell him an RF engineer told you that.

From what I learned Rainier's going to be selling 2 new dish Trackers. http://www.shop.rainiersatellite.net/webstore/lnbplus.htm

http://www.info.rainiersatellite.net/2018/10/29/rainier-to-begin-sales-of-our-own-in-house-brand-dish-mover-controllers-soon/

Movers are important for c band reception. There's currently a shortage of them. The Pansat AP-600 stock ran out. Alternatives are the 4DTV, or older analog receiver. 4D's are excellent movers but due to capacitor and other component fatigue are breaking down. All 4D repair shops are gone.

Other alternative movers such as low cost V box stock is out too. Rick no longer sells them. The Titanium ASC,1 has it issues with miscounting and firmware bugs that rears its ugly head once your using it. These issues vary from system to system. Let Google be your friend looking for ASC-1 problems.

Rainier seems to taking the bull by the horns once again as they did with the AP-600 trying to bring a decent bug free new tracker out for its customers. Good for them!

Bigdishjohn is correct. I'll add this to his post.

Trackers are important, the MightyMini will revolutionize them with its small footprint, easy setup and operation, and Rainier's own in house design PowerPunch circuitry. We will be offering two models. A Standard version for smaller lighter dishes and a Heavy Duty version (with PowerPunch) for larger dishes or cold climates. They are being built as I write this. We expect delivery from the factory soon.

As far as our New Variety pak goes. Beside exclusive C band distribution of premium movies is adding many channels lost from c band with the shutdown phases of the 4DTV in 2010 and 2016 respectively.

Surveys taken with big dish owners show most are not happy with the few fta offerings available. They want the cable content that the big dish use to offer. Rainier see's this and has spent countless hours in negotiations with programmers. Rainier is dropping a bundle to make this happen. Its time to show your appreciation if you own a big dish and want good content. Join Rainier's growing family. The more subscribers we have the faster we can offer the good cable content desired by the majority of big dish owners.

HBO's in PowerVue are international feeds not for the US. IMHO HBO is a joke these days.

I'm not inside Rainiers labs. Don't know anymore then what I read at Rainiers sites.

Had a ASC-1. It had count issues and dish runaway. Titanium support guy blamed it on my actuator. Hooked up an AP600 and it was fine, read of similar incidents at Ricks and other forums, dunno.

What dish and mover do you run Dominic?  Are you an old 4dtv guy?

Streaming services are hidden ripoffs. Once they got you hooked your ISP will impose big bandwidth fees per month. Do the math. C band is cheaper and better.

The problem with streaming services such as Directnow, Sling, Hulu, Netflix, etc besides the poor picture quality, is you end up using excessive bandwidth that if you're not already will get billed for in the future. Now you have your subscription fees and bandwidth fees from your ISP. That can get really pricey. With Rainier C band you pay for the TV channels that's all, it's a no-brainer. Rainier offers a good selection of programming currently and continues to add good channels.  The Sony's are excellent and show great movies.

If you went the FTA route with those cheap receivers you're not only getting a junk receiver with no support that gives you grief, but the content is poor and continues to dwindle. Soon all that will be left with FTA will be the shopping and religious channels who you pay for by you donating to them. Not top Nielsen content for sure. Rainier's D9865 can get all FTA and pay channels. Its built well and lasts. Once again, it's a no-brainer.

As far as equipment goes for c band it's you get what you pay for. If you can't afford quality gear like Rainier sells you're better off looking for a good old 10 foot system from somebody that is getting rid of. Do not get sucked in by any of the Chinese crap like Tek2000, Tvrosat, or Satellite Gallore sells. Those dishes give you paper thin mounts, deformed reflectors and have other quality control issues. The price Tek charges for that junk is a joke. If you really want that crap you can buy direct from China at a fraction of what he charges, probably will get better support too.  Read about Tek's games here. http://www.azboxamericas.com/unauthorised_info.cfm?id=48 (http://www.azboxamericas.com/unauthorised_info.cfm?id=48) In short if it's worth doing do it right. Monies spent upfront will pay off over the long run with longevity.  BTW Rainier offers financing that will let you pay for it over time. You should check into that.

I don't have cable, pizza or streaming. I'm very satisfied with Rainier. I believe in supporting a winner and you can see that Rainier is definitely that. They continue to grow, give you quality products for fair prices, and have excellent support. They have a good work ethic and believe in doing it right.

If you get into C band Dominic go with the winner, go with Rainier.

The  c band excitement continues with Rainier as we continue to grow. C band has been in the dumps for years since the demise of the 4DTV. Many with big dish subscriptions lost access to the cable TV content available with c band that fueled its sales. Some orphans went the route of the small dish or cable. They got locked into contracts and $100 plus a month bills just to watch their favorite shows. A handful of 4DTV orphans got lied to by fast talking FTA dealers offering them a great world of programming is out there for free. (far from the truth) Many had buyer's remorse as they found out small dish or cable costs were higher then they liked, or that free content was not the holy grail that unscrupulous FTA dealers made it out to be.

We'll the good news is that's all about to change with the introduction of Rainier's NEW Variety pak. It packs a punch with plenty of the cable content lost from C band since the demise of the 4DTV. We've already acquired  Sony Television's Sony Movie Channel and Cine Sony and added them to Variety. This brings premium uncut uninterrupted  movies back to C band, a big draw for big dish owners. But that's not all as Rainier will be announcing many  top rated Neilson cable channels will be launching with Variety, stay tuned... Variety will also include all the great entertainment contained within our basic blue package currently available.

You guys got everything coming together nicely. Looks like Rainier will be the big name in the backyard dish industry very soon. Just like Skyvision had many years ago. It's pitiful whats happened, but that what you get when you let a  bunch of amateurs run it into the ground.
