Questions about service?
« on: September 20, 2019, 10:03 am »
Hi been looking at your satellite service for a while, dumped Dish network a few months back. I got a 10 foot mesh dish that's been sitting since 2010. Also got a 920 4DTV. I plugged it in the other day and it comes up at 12:00. The clock advances but when I unplug and plug again its back at 12:00, is it shot? What products would you recommend me to get you're service running?

Welcome to Satellitehome! If the 4dtv shows 12:00 every time its plugged in the battery's shot. Even if it's replaced the 4d's really old and bound to have issues. I suggest getting Rainier's Mighty Mini to move the dish.  Right now you can get $50.00 off the Mighty Mini when you buy the D9865D receiver also on sale at $500.00 off. You need their receiver to subscribe to programming. http://www.shop.rainiersatellite.net/webstore/fall2019.htm

Rainier offers great support. You can ask questions here or call them at 509-486-4137.

Products needed to receive our service are the D9865H or D9865D receiver. Right now a sale's on our best D9865D receiver & Variety programming. Your C band dish must be able to move from 131west to 91west to receive all the channels.

First of all you need to see if your dish still moves, the actuator could be frozen and needs to be replaced. See if you can get your 4DTV to move the dish, if not there are other ways to test. Contact our help desk at 509-486-4137, they can help you out and answer all your questions in detail.  Once the dish is moving freely you probably want to replace the LNB & feed with our NJR PLL LNB's and Harvard Scientific tuned feed. The logic in the D9865 will control V & H polarity function that way. You probably have a servo feed system (with the blue motor) Old analog receivers and the 4DTV's are the only products that still support the outdated servo system. They're dying from old age left and right. Do yourself a favor and update away from the servo system it's much less of a hassle in the long run.

Our store carries all the products needed to get you up and running: http://www.shop.rainiersatellite.net/webstore/storehome.htm

I'm now up and running again with c band. The Rainier system works great. Reminds me of the good old days with the big dish. The picture quality with Rainier is fantastic. Even the wife commented on how much better it looks than the little dish. If the wife approves it it's gotta be good. :)

Rainier's staffs been a great help. From the sales staff to the technical dept, first class treatment. If your looking to save money plus get quality for your dollar, dump the overpriced little dish and cable services. Rainier's got all you need for only $29 a month. I highly recommend them.

I see Rainier's not going to raise the cost on their Variety package in 2020, its staying at $29.99 a month. Now that's something you don't see from dish, direct, and cable. Three cheers for Rainier for keeping costs down.
