What else are you working on? Are other broadcasters talking to you? You will need at least 50 HD channels to make this work.

Most channels we will offer will be located on the EasyVu DTH  one satellite platform. We have contracts already with many programmers that will launch on that platform. We also are working on more. The channel list will be added to our website prior to rollout. These channels include big name sports, basic and high tier cable channels. We are looking to offer 50 to 100 channels at EasyVu rollout with more after that.

Probably best to advise your customers to purchase a 10ft dish if they will be viewing programming across the arc. I have owned a sadoun 6ft (useless), 7.5ft used mesh (okay, but won't always lock weaker DVB-S2 signals), SAMI 10ft (excellent dish) and SG 12ft (excellent dish).

Thank you for your input. We have testers getting reliable signals on 8 foot dishes with PLL lnb's. 10's work fine as do 12's.

Which orbital position?

We are negotiating at this time with the different providers. That information will be on our website when finalized.

Before members here take you seriously, can you explain Glen's conduct?

Many people really want a c band subscription service but why should be trust you?

Glen is the technical director at Rainier Satellite. Without his knowledge and expertise in the satellite industry this project would never have come to be. Stories such as those found at competition smear blogs and forums, were twisted, manipulated and embellished (posts added, deleted and modified) to give off those negative results. Glen as I were checked out by the FBI and other agencies by Cisco at the start of this project. Programmers and other companies we do business with had background checks done on us too. We both came back every time with impeccable background check results and credibility.  You cannot do business at the level were at without having excellent credibility. Cisco has a tough screening process. They would have never done business with us if any of those stories had any merit.

Its time we move forward with the future and forget about all the naysayers have said or say. They don't want C band to flourish like it once did. If they did they wouldn't do the negative things they do.

Rainier Satellites Mission Statement:
Our mission is to provide our clients with the highest quality of customer service, by committing ourselves to be the best through continuous improvement. We are dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for every client. We pledge to make a difference for our clients by focusing on integrity, respect and loyalty.

A Rainier satellite service just ain't going to happen and here's why:

Unless "Glen" is part of the tribe (and you all know which tribe I am talking about) and a member of the 1%, he will just continue to design web pages for minimum wage and try to pawn off some Cisco junk receivers for $699. He's been doing it for years!

Don't believe Carlin? Everything happens for a reason in this world and nothing happens by channce.

Its this naysayer negative attitude that makes people shy away from doing something good, and making a change in this world. We have some big players involved that's all I can say.

I'd like to keep this area positive and upbeat about Rainier. Please respect my wishes.

Were working hard daily to bring people quality and choice. Has there been stepping stones? sure plenty. We already accomplished what they said would never happen. Turning on PowerVu cable channels in the home. We have many contracts with programmers ready to go once we get EasyVu's headend up and running and tested. We are moving forward and want to deliver all the quality C band can provide. The HDTV's have the quality but there are no good delivery sources until now. Thanks for believing in us and giving us a chance to get the good news out on your forum.

Yes; that is another ...joke...maybe some 'individuals' ought to get their 'facts' straight before they make such statements.

Those who post negative press will sensationalize to discredit. I am posting the proper information in our area here for those interested in Rainier's Services. The facts can also be found here: http://www.rainiersatellite.com/receivershop.htm

Will your receivers have PVR functionality?

The D9865H does not have a PVR. There has been talk with Cisco to  offer a model with a DVR and 4K down the road depending how big this becomes. The 9865 is based on a 9858 commercial receiver with features to make it user friendly in a STB environment. Because it is a commercial receiver it can handle high bitrate signals that non commercial FTA receivers cannot.

An external recording device can be used to time shift programs if you need to.
